The ACER Foundation holds two key Alumni events each year.
Friends of the ACER Foundation and Alumni are invited to attend an event each May addressing recent developments at ACER.
The Annual Lunch for Friends of the ACER Foundation and Alumni is held in August each year.
The Annual Lunch for 2014 was held in August at the Victorian Government Investment Centre, addressing the Australian STEM Video Game Challenge. Friends of the ACER Foundation and Alumni heard from the Victorian Lead Scientist, Leonie Walsh, and Grantly Mailes, the Chief Technology Advocate for Victoria. Both speakers addressed concern about the small number of students studying science, technology, engineering and maths in spite of the growing opportunities for employment in these areas.
The Annual Lunch for 2015 was held in August at the Victorian Government Investment Centre, addressing the development of the television series, Little J & Big Cuz, part of the School Readiness Initiative that has been developed and is now being realised by experienced producer Ned Lander, with partners NITV, Screen Australia, Film Victoria, Screen Tasmania, ACER and the Australian Children’s Television Foundation.
