At a ceremony in Sydney last night, writer Erica Glynn received a top writing prize.

Congratulations to Little J & Big Cuz writer Erica Glynn, who last night won a prestigious Australian Writers’ Guild Award – an ‘AWGIE’, which are awarded to writers by writers – for her episode, ‘Where’s Aaron?’.

Erica scooped the Children’s Television (Preschool) category at the awards ceremony in Sydney. Co-writer Beck Cole was nominated for her episode, ‘Lucky Undies’, in the same category. Read more on that story here.

At a Screen Australia event on the same night to celebrate its Indigenous Department’s 25th anniversary, Little J & Big Cuz was honoured as part of a remarkable roster of programs and films – one that includes such heavyweights as The Sapphires, Jasper Jones, Mystery Road and Cleverman – supported by the department over the years. You can read more about the Indigenous Department’s work here, find out about plans for series 2 of Little J & Big Cuz here and check out episodes plus games and resources for students and teachers on the show’s website: www.littlejandbigcuz.com.au.
