ACER’s Centre for Global Education Monitoring supports the monitoring of educational outcomes worldwide, engaging in the discussion around the collection and use of education data to inform policy aimed at improving educational progress for all learners.
PAL network – People’s Action for Learning
The PAL network currently joins citizen-led, household-based assessments in 14 countries in Africa, Asia and North America. Citizen-led assessments measure basic literacy and numeracy competencies of all children, whether or not they are enrolled in school. A common aim of citizen-led assessments is to bring learning and measurement of learning outcomes and progress to the centre of educational policy and practice. ACER-GEM is a special memebr of the PAL network and also provides technical support to individual citizen-led assessments, including technical reviews.
