AMAC framework

As part of the development of AMAC, a framework document has been produced.

This framework provides a structured conceptual understanding of the areas to be considered for assessment in the AMAC project. An assessment framework is similar to a curriculum framework, but more detailed such that it provides a robust roadmap of areas to assess.

This framework articulates the learning outcomes to be attained by medical students after completing their regular medical training. It provides a structured conceptual understanding of the areas to be assessed. The framework provides substantive foundations for subsequent development, along with technical and practical considerations of what would be appropriate and feasible to assess.

The latest version of this framework is available for download below. The AMAC project team sought widespread opinion on earlier drafts of the framework, particularly through the 2011 Engagement Forum, the AMAC Reference Group and the 2012 Engagement Forum. This current version was completed in mid-2012.
