New Delhi — 23rd February 2026 — The Australian Council for Educational Research (India) and AmplifiU AI have signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on advancing evidence-informed assessments, teacher professional development, and responsible integration of artificial intelligence in education, aligned with India’s National Education Policy (NEP 2020) on 18 February 2026.

The partnership brings together ACER’s global expertise of over 95 years in educational research, assessment and psychometrics, with AmplifiU’s teacher-first AI platform designed to support curriculum-aligned classroom practice.

The collaboration will focus on pre-service and in-service educator development, high quality, evidence-informed assessments, joint research and thought leadership, and the co-development of research-backed, technology-enabled educational solutions.

The non-financial, non-binding MoU was formalised in New Delhi during the India AI Impact Summit week, alongside the inauguration of the Australian Pavilion by Dr Andrew Charlton, Assistant Minister for Science, Technology and the Digital Economy, Australia. The ceremony was facilitated by the Australian Trade & Investment Commission (Austrade), and attended by members of the Australian delegation to the Summit.

Speaking on the partnership, Dr Priyanka Sharma, CEO of ACER India said:

“As India advances its education reforms, it is critical that innovation remains anchored in evidence and quality. Through this partnership, we are combining rigorous assessment expertise with responsible AI to support teachers with practical tools that improve learning outcomes in meaningful and measurable ways.”

Reaffirming the strength of the partnership, Viplav Baxi, Founder and co-CEO of AmplifiU said:

“This partnership brings the best of both worlds to our partners and customers – deep assessment, pedagogy, technology, professional development and AI. Together we will bring our collective expertise to implementation of the NEP 2020 and international curricula.”

Together, ACER India and AmplifiU aim to support educators and institutions with scalable, evidence-based solutions that strengthen teaching quality and learning outcomes in India and beyond.
