Overview

The VET Quality Indicator Service provides a complete reporting solution for all Australian RTOs needing to collect quality standards information about the delivery of their training programs.

The service was launched in 2016 to replace the AQTF Quality Indicator Service (AQIS) and Online Survey System (OSS). The AQIS and OSS websites were decommissioned due to cessation of technical support for their software, as well as ACER's plans to expand the service with new features.

Please note that due to the service's ongoing development, the registration, purchasing and report generation pages are currently closed off, due to migration of the respective databases for these features to the main ACER platform. We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused by the necessity of temporarily closing off these functions.

The VET Quality Indicator Service will relaunch on ACER’s main assessment delivery platform in late Q1 2017.

 

Online Survey System Changes

While new features have been gradually rolled out since its initial deployment, the VET Quality Indicator Service was nevertheless kept running on a platform separate from the Australian Council for Educational Research’s main account management and assessment delivery system. However, as ACER works towards unifying its products and services, a migration of the service to the main ACER platform has now begun.

The present stage of the plan involves the current VETQIS survey links being replaced with a new online surveying format. In line with this requirement, please note that the current VETQIS online survey links will only remain valid until Friday the 16th of December 2016.

The new, replacement format is now available, so if you need to replace exisitng links or create new surveying groups for your RTO, please contact us using the details above.

All existing users of the online survey are strongly encouraged to ensure that all current surveying is finished before the 16th of December. We strongly urge that this cut-off date be communicated to any users who have received a link recently, as a reminder to submit their survey as soon as they can.

Please note that these changes will not result in any existing data being lost. All data submissions past, present, and future will be collated into one database in early 2017.

Scannable survey forms and provision of survey data in Manual Entry template spreadsheets are not affected by these changes.

We acknowledge that temporary closures and format changes are far from ideal, but we feel that the expected benefits of continuing to update the development plan as new opportunities for greater integration arise exceed the drawbacks of this approach.
