Best Test Design, by Benjamin Wright and Mark Stone (1979), introduces the theory and practice of Rasch Measurement based on dichotomously scored tasks (eg, test items scored right or wrong).
Rating Scale Analysis, by Benjamin Wright and Geoff Masters (1982), extends the theory and practice of Rasch measurement to polytomously scored tasks (eg, test items with more than two response categories).
