Reforming assessment in Indonesia

In late May to early June 2016, Professor Geoff Masters AO visited Indonesia to discuss assessment reform with the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture, the Hon. Anies Baswedan.

In Yogyakarta, he delivered a keynote address on assessment reform to a conference organised by the Indonesia Education Evaluation Association and Yogyakarta State University. He and the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Rochmat Wahab, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between their two organisations.

In Jakarta, Geoff Masters delivered his assessment reform address to a conference organised by the Ministry of Education and Culture, and he met with senior Ministry officials including staff of the Indonesia assessment centre, Puspendik, with whom ACER is working.

Geoff Masters’ visit, with ACER Director International Development Peter McGuckian, was organised by the Head of ACER’s Indonesia office, Lani Ganda, and her staff.
