At ACER, we truly believe in the power of education and seek to support every child to succeed in their learning.

In recognition of Reconciliation Week, as the new CEO of ACER, I would like to reaffirm our organisation's ongoing commitment to deepen relationships with First Nations peoples and to promote the integration of First Nations cultures, histories and knowledges into Australian education.

I acknowledge that we must continue working on our reconciliation journey, implement our deliverables in our current RAP, and I look forward to building our next Reconciliation Action Plan and taking on our part in helping us move towards a more united and respectful nation.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to recognise our partners and collaborators in the community for their outstanding contributions to the field of education.

  • Ninti One: Preschool Outcomes Measure, Evaluation of Closing the Gap Schools Initiatives, First Nations Teacher Strategy
  • UniSA Education Futures: Supporting Aboriginal ITE and Masters in Education students and Aboriginal researchers.
  • And of course, all our partners on Little J and Big Cuz, Ned Lander Media Pty Limited, RAMU Productions, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, National Indigenous Television, Screenwest, VicScreen, the Australian Children’s Television Foundation, and Screen Tasmania.

I hope you will join us in raising your voices for National Reconciliation Week and take the opportunity to reflect on how each of us can help build a more connected and accepting future.

Warm regards

Lisa Rodgers
