School Improvement Tool: Elaborations for student engagement and wellbeing

ACER on-demand hybrid course

Description

This on-demand 1 day course is for systems and schools who want to learn how to best apply the School Improvement Tool: Elaborations for student engagement and wellbeing to their work.

The School Improvement Tool: Elaborations for student engagement and wellbeing is an evidence-based framework that brings together findings from international research to describe practices of highly effective schools and school leaders. The elaborations give specifics about the practices outlined across 9 domains of the National School Improvement Tool © as they relate to wellbeing and engagement. They provide an overview of evidence-based practical strategies to guide a school’s approach to enhancing student engagement and wellbeing.

ACER is offering 1 day, on-demand professional learning for interested systems and schools. The professional learning has been designed to be delivered in hybrid mode, facilitated by a group of ACER experts in school improvement and student engagement and wellbeing.

The professional learning will enable participants to apply their knowledge of the SIT elaborations to:

  • reflect on school performance and improvement planning through the lens of the SIT Elaborations
  • develop a common language about student engagement and wellbeing to critically engage with colleagues
  • identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
